How many personnel are employed by the police service?

As of October 1, 2024, the total number of employees (uniform and civilian support) is 40.  This number includes the Chief of Police, Staff Sergeant/Director of Operations, 1 Administrative Sergeant, 1 Detective Sergeant, 4 Patrol Sergeants, 2 Detective Constables, 12 Police Constables, 4 Special Constables, and 3 Recruit-Constables.  For civilian support, the Service employs (11) a Director of Corporate Services, Executive Assistant, Financial Controller, Human Resources Administrator, Human Resources Generalist, Social Navigator, Community Mobilization Assistant, Office Administrator, Court & Records Administrator, Crime & Intelligence Analyst, Building & Fleet Coordinator and Maintenance Assistant.  Guards are employed on an on-call basis only, and they are not included in the staff totals.
